Terms of Use
Last updated: May 23, 2026
By using ProofWolf (the "Service") at proofwolf.com, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language because legal jargon helps nobody.
1. What ProofWolf is
ProofWolf is a browser-based tool that helps you document property damage by capturing photos, adding markup and notes, and generating a branded PDF report. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no server, no backend, no account.
2. What ProofWolf is not
ProofWolf is not legal advice, insurance advice, or a substitute for professional adjustment. It is a documentation tool. The reports it produces are only as accurate as the photos you take and the descriptions you write. Whether a damage claim is approved, denied, or paid is between you, the property owner, and the insurance carrier. ProofWolf has no role in that decision.
3. Your data, your responsibility
All data you enter (photos, customer info, claim details, etc.) is stored on your device — in your browser, on your phone, or on your computer. We do not have a copy. We cannot recover anything you lose by clearing your browser, switching devices, or having a device failure.
The Export feature lets you back up projects as `.claims` files. We strongly recommend using it after important inspections. Keeping backups is on you.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ProofWolf to:
- Document anything you don't have the legal right to be on or near (don't trespass).
- Create fraudulent reports or fabricate damage that doesn't exist.
- Violate the privacy of any individual (don't capture identifiable people without consent).
- Submit reports you know to be false to insurance carriers or anyone else.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code for malicious purposes.
If you misuse the tool, that's on you — but please don't.
5. Service status
ProofWolf is a young tool. Features may change. Bugs may exist. Things may break. By using the Service, you accept that it may have rough edges and that we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. We're actively improving it based on real user feedback.
6. No warranty
ProofWolf is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee:
- That the Service will be available at all times.
- That PDF reports will be accepted by any specific carrier, court, or party.
- That browser storage will perfectly preserve your data forever.
- That the Service will be free of bugs.
That said, we genuinely want it to work for you. Report problems and we'll fix them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ProofWolf — including but not limited to lost claims, denied insurance payouts, lost data, lost time, lost revenue, or any business consequences of relying on a ProofWolf-generated report.
You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.
8. Intellectual property
The ProofWolf name, logo, branding, and the underlying code are owned by us. The reports you create with ProofWolf belong entirely to you — we claim no ownership over your content.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. If we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be flagged in the app where possible. Continued use of ProofWolf after changes means you accept the updated terms.
